The Sandbach Transport Festival 2026

Celebrating the town's transport heritage with the main event: A variety of vehicles from classic cars to modern classics, from trucks to planes and everything in between.

The Festival is a non-political event, and all exhibitors and traders should refrain from displaying banners, rosettes, flags etc that promote political issues or causes.  Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

What to expect


More than just transport, the festival will combine four components to ensure entertainment for the whole family.

  • Transport

    Celebrating the town's transport heritage with the main event: A variety of vehicles from Sandbachs’ historic Foden/ERF heritage to then classic cars to modern classics, from trucks to planes and everything in between.

  • Live Music

    Showcasing local talent in a celebration of music with a carefully curated lineup of bands and acts, we have our Music on the Cobbles (Provided by Sandbach Town Council) event on Saturday with more live music from the infamous Foden Band and other local talent on the Sunday.

  • Family

    Lots of family friendly entertainment suitable for all ages. With Transport related attractions alongside traditional fairground, ice creams and more the younger ones will have lots to see and do.

  • Food

    A variety of food and drink outlets will provide an array of hot/cold food & drink as well as alcoholic beverages.

  • Foden/ERF Tribute & Entertainment

    On The Edge Motorcycle Stunt Team Show – 11.30am & 1.00pm & 2.15pm Saturday ONLY on the Scotch Common Car Park

    Fusion Extreme BMX Show – 12.15pm & 1.45 pm & 3.00pm Saturday ONLY on the Scotch Common Car Park

    Music Main Stage on the Cobbles 1.00pm to 9.30pm

    Military Transport and Vehicle Display with the Spitfire Aircraft on the Small Common Car Park

    Food Stalls and Trade Stands

    Children’s Fairground in Sandbach Park

    Model Railway Exhibits in St Mary’s Church Hall 10.00am to 4.00pm

  • Vehicle Display, Parade & Foden's Band

    Main Vehicle Display on the Scotch Common Car Park

    Exit PARADE at 4.00pm

    FREE Vintage Bus rides – Start & finish by The Flower Shop Congleton Road

FREE car parking at the Boys' School Main Car Park at the Boy's Sixth Form Centre Car Park - Sandbach House both on Crewe Road

There will be FREE travel on the D&G buses 317, 37 and 38 within the environs of Sandbach ONLY - to be confirmed.

Road Closures


During the weekend, it is essential that we close some roads to make it safe for the public and the attendees. Closures typically include the following:

Saturday & Sunday

6:00am - 6:00pm

Sunday – Parade route

The Parade will leave from the Scotch Common Car Park proceeding along Congleton Road past the Town Hall and down the High Street. The Parade will disperse at the traffic lights on Old Mill Road.

4:000pm Start
